| "Jersey Shore" was filmed in Seaside Hts, NJ. Since my family was celebrating Christmas at my Aunt's home in Seaside Park, (the "North Side" equivalent to Seaside Hts "South Side" quality), I took the liberty to take some photos of the Jersey Shore house. 
Since people may think this isn't an exciting post, I thought I'd post the most interesting picture in front of the cut: the graffiti the lovely locals have tagged the symbolistic Italian flag NJ outline with!

No, it must be walk-out bad, except that my job as a film critic is to sit there and watch it anyway, and simply be subjected to the torture. Sometimes, a film turns out to be so awful that it's actually funny, but that doesn't count as a miserable enough experience to warrant inclusion here. | I confess I've written more than my fair share of posts complaining about the never-ending march of paranormal, ghost busting shows haunting TV these days. You know the shows I refer to -- the "documentaries" promising to prove the existence of ghosts without ever finding anything resembling actual proof. Every time I've written something bemoaning the arrival of another such show, I think it has to be over soon. There can't be another hour of clods stumbling around in night vision and reacting to sights and sounds the audience doesn't get to experience. But, they keep coming. They keep finding nothing. But, evidently, people keep watching them. Now, we have Ghost Intervention -- running through December. The 4-part docu-series from TLC "chronicles a case manager and a team of women with psychic abilities as they try to help different families who are struggling with paranormal activity in their homes." I guess that makes it "The Exorcist meets The View" -- only The View is infinitely more horrifying than any case of haunting or demonic possession. However you describe it, we're looking at hours of women without proven psychic powers exercising unproven science to deal with unproven phenomena. It's a wonder PBS didn't pick this up for Firing Line. We're left with one big question. It seems unavoidable that there will be more of these ghost-hunting shows. Brooke Mueller was legally drunk when she called 911 on Charlie Sheen ... and, we've learned, Brooke has fessed up that her allegation was phony.Sources say authorities gave both Charlie and Brooke blood alcohol tests. Brooke registered a .13 while Charlie registered a .04. By the way, the 911 call came in at 8:34 AM on Christmas day. We're also told Brooke recanted her story to a female officer just before the bail hearing, telling the cop she was drunk when she made the 911 call. Nevertheless, law enforcement sources say police will still pursue the case -- at least for now.We've also learned Sheen has hired well-known Colorado attorney Richard Cummins to represent him. Cops responded to the 911 call, arrived at the home and Sheen was arrested after Brooke claimed he assaulted her. Charlie was booked for two felonies and one misdemeanor relating to domestic violence. As we first reported, Sheen told law enforcement Brooke was the aggressor and he was just trying to defend himself. Charlie's next court date is set for February 8. Source | |

|  Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller are planning to undergo counseling after a heated fight at a dinner party in Aspen, Colo., that landed Charlie in jail on domestic violence charges Friday morning. "They were fighting at a dinner in a friend’s house and it continued until the next morning," a source close to Mueller tells PEOPLE. "Both of them were drinking and neither was supposed to be. They both have histories of alcohol abuse and have made every effort to stop. But things got out of hand." Sheen, 44, was booked at 11:20 a.m. for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, according to a spokesperson for the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Department in Aspen, Colo. The actor posted an $8,500 bond Friday night and was released from jail at 7 p.m. He is due in court on Feb. 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. "Charlie went right back to Los Angeles after he was released from jail," the source tells PEOPLE. "Both he and Brooke will undergo counseling and Charlie will get anger management counseling." Despite reports, the couple had not been separated in the weeks leading up to the Christmas morning 911 call at the house they were renting with their twin boys, Bob and Max, 9 months. "Brooke and Charlie have never been separated," the source tells PEOPLE. "And the boys are fine – so precious. They knew nothing about a fight between their parents." The actor's Colorado-based attorney Richard Cummins tells PEOPLE, "They have two children together and they love one another and they’re going to work through what is a difficult time and they’re going to do that together and as privately as possible." Sheen's rep, Stan Rosenfield, had no further comment. Mueller, 32, plans to stay at her rented house in Aspen, and there is no talk of divorce at this time. Today, the blog published as FACT an old April Fool’s Day JOKE that Robert Pattinson was replacing Tobey Maguire in “Spider-Man.” [Catch your breath from laughter] According to OhNoTheyDidnt, “The news dropped like a bombshell early this morning that Sony Pictures has signed Robert Pattinson (Twilight) to replace Tobey Maguire in the titular role in Spider-Man 4.” Wait, it gets more ridiculous. |  Guess things are getting serious! Renée Zellweger spent Christmas this year with boyfriend Bradley Cooper – and his parents, Gloria and Charlie. The four celebrated the holiday in Los Angeles, and Zellweger was spotted bonding all week with Cooper's parents. On Dec. 21, the actress took them on a stroll in Venice, Calif. And on Christmas Eve, Zellweger and Cooper's mom, Gloria, went shopping together. "Renée seems to get along really well with Bradley's parents, " an eyewitness tells PEOPLE. "They were laughing and seemed to have a great time strolling around Venice." On Dec. 24, Zellweger stopped by Bay Cities Italian Deli in Santa Monica, Calif., where she picked out several Italian delicacies. "Bradley's mom is Italian-American and it was obvious that Renée was making an effort to impress Bradley's mom with Christmas dishes," the eyewitness says, adding that the actress asked for help to make sure she picked out something authentic. Twilight star Robert Pattinson has swept Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif completely off her feet. And, if all goes well, she'll be meeting Pattinson this week during her annual family holiday in London.
Katrina says she got hooked to the Twilight quartet hottie the moment she saw the film. "I went and bought all the four Twilight books Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.
I can't put them down. I've been racing through the adventures of the hottest vampire, Edward Cullen, for the last one week.
I finished reading three books in less than four days. Now I'm into the fourth and I just can't get enough," she says.
Katrina now wants to meet Edward Cullen. "You don't understand. This is like an obsession for me. I can't get Robert Pattinson out of my head.

A meeting between the two is discreetly being arranged. Though Katrina is not talking about it, her representatives are in touch with Robert Pattinson's agent.

The famously generous couple donated $100,000 to the American SOS Children's Villages, an alternative foster care organization with locations in the U.S. in Illinois and Florida. "We have seen firsthand the remarkable job SOS does to raised orphaned and abandoned children and keep families together," Jolie, 34, said in a statement. "No one "ages out" of an SOS Village. Vocational training, advanced education, living assistance and more support are there forever." Heather Paul, CEO of SOS Children's Villages USA, thanked the Jolie-Pitts for their generosity and said they were longtime supporters of the organization. "We are deeply grateful that this year they have included in their generosity our villages in Illinois and Florida and our 300 children who call SOS 'home,' " she said in a statement. "In this holiday season, many of us take for granted that we are surrounded by loving family members. The poor outcomes for foster children indicate that we must do a much better job of supporting them."
